Is le Blacknight an suíomh seo, an príomhchomhlacht Éireannach do ainmneacha fearainn agus óstáil idirlín. Tá creidiúint ICANN againn agus dearcadh idirnáisiúnta. Táimíd bródúil gur comhlacht Éireannach sinn, agus 40 fostaithe againn i gCeatharlach.

Is slí bheatha dúinn na h-ainmneacha fearainn: tá na céadta Fearann Barr-Leibhéal ar fáil againn, agus cinn nua ag teacht gach lá. Ní dheinimíd suíomh idirlíon speisialta do gach aon cheann acu, ach tá níos mó i gceist le fada.ie.

This site is made by Blacknight, Ireland’s largest domain registrar and web hosting company. We’re ICANN-accredited and internationally focused. We’re also fiercely proud of being Irish-owned and run, employing 40 people in Carlow.

Domains are our business: we offer hundreds of Top Level Domains, and introduce new ones every day. We don’t make a new website to celebrate each new launch, but fada.ie is about more than just Irish.

Nuair a bhímíd páirteach in ICANN agus in eagraíochtaí idirnáisiúnta eile ar nós i2Coalition, tugaimid faoi deara an éagsúlacht mhór i dteangacha agus i gcultúir.

Tugann an tÉireannachas dearcadh sainiúil ar an saol dúinn. Ach go háirithe, tuigimid cás na mionteangacha.

Sin an chúis go dtugaimíd tacaíocht ar leith d’fhearainn ar nós .CAT, .EUS, .SCOT, .CYMRU agus .WALES, gan trácht ar .IRISH.

Agus is ar an gcúis sin freisin a bhfuil áthas orainn go bhfuil lámh againn i ngaelú an fhearainn náisiúnta .IE. Mar is Gaeil sinn.

“Fiú muna labhrann tú Gaeilge, níl aon éalú uaithi”, arsa Michele Neylon, príomhfheidhmeannach Blacknight.

“Tá sí sna logainmneacha, in ainmneacha comhlachtaí agus eagraíochtaí, i nathanna agus i bhfrásaí an Bhéarla atá againn”.

“Mar chomhlacht dúchasach Éireannach, tá Blacknight bródúil as an nGaeilge mar chuid bhunúsach de chultúr na tíre seo, agus is cúis áthais dúinn go bhfuil an meas is cóir le taispeáint di ag an bhfearann náisiúnta”.

Our participation in ICANN and international bodies like i2Coalition introduces us to a galaxy of diversity in language and cultures.

Our Irishness gives us a unique outlook on the world. It makes us particularly aware of minority and lesser used languages.

It’s why we make a point of supporting domains such as .CAT, .EUS, .SCOT, .CYMRU and .WALES, not to mention .IRISH.

And it’s why we’re particularly pleased to play our part in the addition of Irish language characters to .IE. Because it’s part of who we are.

“Even if you don’t speak Irish, there is no escape from it”, says Michele Neylon, our CEO.

“It’s in the placenames, the names of companies and organisations, in expressions and in phrases of the English we speak”.

“As an indigenous Irish company, Blacknight is proud of the Irish language as an important part of the culture of this country, and we are delighted that the proper respect is to be shown to it by the national domain.”
